Pastor's Letter: Celebrating Mother's Day

I am thankful for a mom who made a difference in my life.  From an early age, she took me to church where I heard the teachings of Jesus.  She was there crying with joy after I received Jesus and was baptized.  She was there encouraging me at my sporting events through school.  She gave me wise advise about girls to date.  She had the insight to know when she met Angie that she would be my wife.  She was there on the front row on July 28, 1985 watching me getting married.  She was there when all four of my children and her grandchildren were born.  She has cooked, cleaned, taken care of and provided for me in more ways than I can remember.  Yes, she has made a difference in my life.

This weekend we honor our mothers for who they are and all they have done to impact our lives.  A woman who fears the Lord shall be praised.  Her children rise up and bless her and her husband also, and he praises her.  Let's do just that this weekend for the women who have made a difference in our lives.

Making a difference,

Pastor Mike
